Founded in 2005 by a visionary group of advocates and parent leaders, the National Center on Shared Leadership was created to champion meaningful engagement of families and communities in shaping the systems that serve them. Rooted in the belief that those most impacted must be part of the solution, our work centers on implementing shared leadership® strategies that produce positive, sustainable outcomes across communities. Our approach has applications in education, health, wellness, and community organizing because when parents, youth, and community members are valued as full partners, the result is more effective and lasting change.
Shared leadership® is more than a model; it’s a movement toward solutions where everyone wins.
